CENTiiWAX Non-Absorbable Sterilised Bone Wax is a sterile mixture of Beeswax, Isopropyl Myristate or Beeswax, Isopropyl Palmitate & Paraffin Wax. It is opaque and has a waxy odour.

CENTiiWAX, bone wax is a non absorbable white wax in a slab / piece form of approximately 2.5 grams in weight & comprising of White Beeswax 75% w/w; Paraffin Wax 15% w/w; Isopropyl palmitate 10% w/w and is sterilised by gamma irradiation. Mild inflammatory reactions have been reported in tissue immediately adjacent to the site of implantation.

CENTiiWAX, bone Wax should not be used where rapid osseous fusion and regeneration is desired, should be used sparingly & any excess removed from the operative site & may inhibit ostogenesis and may act as a physical barrier to the reparative process.

CENTiiWAX Non Absorbable Sterilised Bone Wax is used to control bleeding from the divided, drilled or chipped edges of bone by physically plugging the osseous canals which contain the bleeding capillaries, by implantation & application to bone as required to control haemorrhage.

CENTiiWAX Non Absorbable Sterilised Bone Wax should be used immediately after removal from the package & using an aseptic technique, warmed to the desired consistency by manipulation with fingers.
