CENTCEL – Absorbable Hemostat, Sterilised Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) USP, is a sterile absorbable flat form knitted fabric composed by the oxidation regenerated cellulose. The fabric is white with a pale-yellow color. A slight discoloration may occur with age, but this does not affect properties. It can be cut without fraying, is strong and can be sutured. It should be stored at controlled room temperature and this Absorbable Hemostat, Sterilised Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) USP is stable. The Absorbable Hemostat, Sterilised Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) USP form of the product allows the surgeon to grasp with forceps any amount of Absorbable Hemostat, Sterilised Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) USP needed to achieve hemostasis at a particular bleeding site. The Absorbable Hemostat, Sterilised Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) USP is very convenient to reach or irregularly sized bleeding sites. Absorbable Hemostat, Sterilised Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) USP fibers continue to cohere to one another and application to the bleeding site is easily controlled.The Hemostatic effect is immediate; a perfect hemostasis is usually achieved within a few minutes after local application. Undesired dispersal over the operative site does not happen and is not locally irritable. Absorbable Hemostat, Sterilised Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) USP meets all the requirements established by the United States Pharmacopiea (USP) for oxidized regenerated cellulose, is STERILISED by Gamma Radiation (25kGy) and intended for single use only. Sterility of the product is guaranteed only if the packing has not been damaged.
